Frequently asked questions.

1️⃣ What is a Notary Public?

A Notary Public is an official appointed by the State of California to verify identities, witness signatures, and prevent fraud in legal documents. Their seal and signature make your paperwork legally recognized and trusted.

2️⃣ What types of documents can you notarize?

We can notarize most personal and business documents, including:

  • Real estate deeds and loan documents

  • Powers of attorney

  • Wills and trusts

  • Affidavits and sworn statements

  • Business contracts and agreements
(We cannot notarize incomplete or unsigned documents, or provide legal advice.)

3️⃣ What do I need to bring to my notarization appointment?

Please bring:

  • A valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s license, Passport, State ID)

  • The document to be notarized (unsigned)

  • Witnesses, if required by your document type

4️⃣ What if my ID is expired?

California allows an ID that expired within the last 5 years. If your ID is older, you may still proceed if two credible witnesses personally know you and present valid identification.

5️⃣ Do you provide mobile notary services?

Yes! We’re fully mobile. Our notary travels to your home, office, hospital, or nursing home anywhere in the South Bay, including Torrance, Gardena, El Segundo, and surrounding cities.

6️⃣ How much do your notary services cost?

Our pricing is transparent:

  • $15 per signature (California standard notary fee)

  • Travel fees vary based on distance and time of day
You’ll receive a clear quote before your appointment — no hidden fees.

7️⃣ Do you offer same-day or emergency notarization?

Absolutely. We specialize in same-day, after-hours, and weekend appointments. For urgent needs like hospital or loan signings, we’ll do our best to accommodate immediately.

8️⃣ What’s the difference between a Mobile Notary and a Loan Signing Agent?

A Mobile Notary notarizes all document types.
A Loan Signing Agent is a notary trained in real estate and mortgage closings — ensuring each signature is correct and documents are returned to escrow promptly.

9️⃣ Can you notarize documents for someone in a hospital or care facility?

Yes. We regularly serve hospitals, assisted living, and nursing homes. We verify capacity and consent, follow facility guidelines, and ensure a comfortable, safe signing process.

🔟 Can I notarize a document online in California?

Not yet — California does not currently allow Remote Online Notarization (RON). All signers must appear in person before the notary. If your document is governed by another state that allows RON, we can guide you to approved providers.

11. What is an Apostille, and do you handle that?

An Apostille certifies that a document notarized in California is valid for use abroad. Yes — we handle the entire Apostille process for personal, business, and educational documents.

12. How do I schedule an appointment?

We proudly serve the South Bay region, including:
Torrance • Gardena • Redondo Beach • El Segundo • Hawthorne • Manhattan Beach • Carson • Palos Verdes • Rolling Hills • Lomita

14. Can you come to my workplace or home?

Yes. Our mobile notary service is designed for convenience — we can meet you at your home, office, or public location like a café, library, or escrow office.

15. What safety precautions do you follow during visits?

Your safety is our priority. We:

  • Carry official ID and notary commission

  • Follow health protocols

  • Keep all information confidential

  • Record every notarization in our official journal for legal protection

16. How long does a typical appointment take?

Most notarizations take 10–20 minutes, depending on the number of signatures. Loan signings may take longer (30–60 minutes).

17. Can you notarize documents written in another language?

Yes — as long as the notarial wording is in English and both the notary and signer understand the document.

18. Do you offer services for businesses or law firms?

Yes. We work with law offices, escrow companies, real estate agents, and businesses for ongoing notary support, bulk document signings, and corporate notarizations.

19. What if I make a mistake on my document before it’s notarized?

Don’t worry — bring a clean, corrected version. A notary cannot notarize documents with visible corrections or blank spaces.
